Specialized Communications Resources for Children

At SCRC, our mission is to provide services that promote the natural process of communication development. We work closely with the families of non-speaking children, and offer education and resources to support the child’s circle of care providers.

Our clinical team consists of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist who are Relationship Development Intervention® certified consultants. Our AAC program is supported by an Assistive Technology Assistant and an Assistive Technology Specialist. We provide both direct client services and community resources a part of our service delivery model.

Referrals to the SCRC department may be completed by a parent, therapist, educator or pediatrician. The intake package must be accompanied by a videotape of the child engaging with his or her parents in a natural setting.
