Feeding Clinic

Purpose of Clinic

A comprehensive clinical assessment of children who are experiencing feeding difficulties is provided. A developmental pediatrician and an occupational therapist meet with children, caregivers, and families to evaluate:

  • Oral motor skills
  • Nutritional status
  • Positioning for feeding, and
  • The motor skills needed for the child to feed himself or herself.

The skills and training needed to carry out feeding routines, oral-motor treatment plans, and/or follow-up are provided as necessary.

Referral

Written referral by physician.

Schedule

Weekly, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Please bring a small snack that your child enjoys.

Medical and multidisciplinary services are available to children with varying physical and developmental conditions. A clinical nurse specialist is available to coordinate the services required by children with complex needs.
